In humid climates, natural hair extensions or wigs may absorb moisture and become frizzy. To avoid this, we recommend that you use a leave-in conditioner and wear your hair in a looser style. Natural hair can also become brittle in dry climates. Deep conditioning treatments will help it to maintain its moisture and lustre.

 Do I need any specific products to take care of my natural hair?

Yes – We recommend that you use sulphate-free shampoos or conditions specially formulated for natural hair. These will cleanse the hair gently and provide the necessary moisture balance.

 Will the natural hair hold curls or straightness?

This depends on the hair type itself – Some hair types, like Brazilian hair, tend to hold their natural curl pattern even with minimal styling, while straightened natural hair will gradually lose some straightness over time (Especially in warmer environments).

 What is the lifespan of our natural hair?

With the proper care, natural hair can last for several months. We recommend that you talk with one of our stylists for advice on maximising the lifespan of your natural hair bundle.

 Can I install natural hair extensions by myself?

While clip-in extensions are very easy to do at home, more complicated extensions like sew-ins and weaves should be left to professionals. The stylists at our Afro hair salon in Croydon are trained in the proper installation techniques, and will make sure you leave with a secure and comfortable fit that protects your natural hair.

 How can I style my natural hair extension or wig?

You can curl, braid, straighten or style our natural hair just like you would your own hair. Just remember to use heat protectant for heat styling.
